What DesignVerdict is
DesignVerdict provides statistics and analytics computed over decisions published by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) — invalidity outcomes, representative win rates, prior-art patterns, panel data and related metrics. It is operated by Futurist IP [legal entity — confirm before launch]. By using the site or downloading our reports you accept these terms.
Not legal advice
Nothing on DesignVerdict is legal advice, and no statistic here is a prediction of any individual case. Outcome rates describe a historical corpus with strong selection effects; they do not transfer to your facts. Decisions about filing, defending or appealing should be made with qualified counsel on the specifics of the matter.
Data accuracy
Structured fields (parties, representatives, prior art, panels, outcomes, costs) are extracted from the published decision text by a large language model and validated by sampling; the published decision remains the authoritative record, and every decision page links to the EUIPO source. Extraction can contain errors — low-confidence records are flagged in the interface. If you find a discrepancy against a source document, report it to arsen.k@futuristip.com and we will correct it. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
Permitted use
You may use the analytics, exports and reports for your own research, client advice, publications and internal business purposes, with attribution to DesignVerdict where excerpts are republished. You may not resell the dataset or systematically scrape the service to reconstitute it. The underlying decisions are public EUIPO documents and remain subject to EUIPO's own reuse terms.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from use of the service or reports is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (zero for free use). We are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on the statistics.
Governing law
[Governing law and venue — confirm before launch.] Until specified, these terms are governed by the law of the operator's place of establishment.
